SPECIAL OF THE WEEK

1963 BMW R60

Beautiful numbers matching 63 BMW R60/2 with clear Michigan title. Restored 4 years ago, work included powdercoating motorcycle frame, complete teardown and rebuilding of motor and trans, Rebuilt front and rear shocks. This is an Earles Fork model!! Repainted tank and fenders, new wheels, newer tires, new seats, grips, etc. Bike was built to be ridden, but I just don't get the time to ride it these days. Purchased from Blue Moon Cycle down in Georgia by my father in law 4 years ago, it was then taken to Indianapolis and restored by a German Mechanic who has worked on these motorcycles since they were new. I have all paperwork of the purchase of the Motorcycle from Blue Moon, as well as paperwork detailing the rebuild from Guenther ( see Pics.) Bike in non running condition from Blue Moon was 2,500. Restoration total was 14,700. Ready to ride as she sits. Oil has been changed every 500 miles and High (1200ppm) ZDDP (Containing Zinc) oil has always been used. These old airheads need this type of oil to prevent piston and cylinder wear. Will need the Rubber boot covering the swingarm / driveshaft pivot point replaced soon, but she is ready for riding!!! Willing to store through the end of summer if unable to transport the Motorcycle at time of purchase. Questions???
